Accident insurance

We don’t like to dwell on misfortune, but life is unpredictable. When an accident happens it’s bad enough, and you don’t want your family to be financially hurt as well. An accident insurance policy helps protect your assets in situations like these:

• Income reduction due to occupational disability.
• Obligations contracted on the assumption of an increasing income, such as a mortgage.
• You need a larger income to upgrade your living standard.
• Your home or car must be modified.
• Source of income gone if income earner dies.

You can insure a benefit:

• Column A: Death.
• Column B: Invalidity.

With accident insurance you can opt for personal or family accident insurance.

• Column A pays out the insured sum in case of death caused by an accident.
• Column B pays out the insured sum if an insured is permanently disabled due to an accident. The amount of the benefit payable is determined by the degree of invalidity.

• Funeral costs.

Premium based on required sum to be insured and occupational risks:

occupation category 1
Commercial and administrative occupations, supervisory and management occupations. Retailers, sales representatives and service industries.

occupation category 2
Occupations mostly involving manual work: traditional trades, metal workers, carpenters, shipmasters, transport industry, farming, fishery.

Occupations with a high accident risk such as divers, demolition contractor and like occupations cannot be insured.
