Buying a house

Buying a home is a big investment – perhaps even the biggest in your life! You want to make sure your property is well protected from any unforeseen events that could happen during or after a house move. You're probably busy making preparations now. Have you thought about insurance? What if some of your things get damaged or stolen while moving? Or if someone trips and falls over in your new house? Looking ahead is important! ENNIA is happy to assist with the following insurance products.

Liability insurance
Without dependable liability insurance, you could stand to lose your house and possessions in the blink of an eye. For example, if someone fell and brought a claim against you for personal injury, the costs you may face are huge.

Home insurance
Home insurance protects your assets from a number of risks. If you do not currently have home insurance, it’s a good idea to organize it before you move into your new home. If you have a mortgage, home insurance is even a requirement!

Household contents insurance
Your personal possessions are dear to you. It pays to take a moment and realize you could lose everything in a burglary or fire. Household content insurance will at least compensate your financial loss.

Life insurance
Moving house often takes place when important events are happening in your life. For example, you may have bought your first home, or move to a bigger house because your family is growing. In any such situations it is prudent to consider your risks. Especially if more people will be depending on your financial support and if there are more assets to protect.

The main purpose of life insurance is to leave your loved ones well cared for. If you pass away early, they could be left with:

  • a mortgage
  • credit card debts
  • car loans
  • funeral costs
  • reduced income

Naturally the financial impact of this would reflect your personal situation, such as your marital status, income and financial goals.
